Export project geometry, DOF information, measured data and processed data in various file formats. Please follow the steps below:
Step 1 - Configure File Export
The first you need to do is to configure the file export by selecting the file format to export to. There are four options here:
- SVS Configuration File Format - ASCII Measurement Files. An ASCII SVS Configuration File with an extension .cfg will be created along with as many ASCII (text) measurement files as there are connected Test Setups in the project. The measurement file will have the extension .asc, and the channels are stored column wise with the first connected channel being the first column of the file.
- SVS Configuration File Format - Binary Measurement Files. An ASCII SVS Configuration File with an extension .cfg will be created along with as many binary measurement files as there are connected Test Setups in the project. The measurement file will have the extension .bin.
- ASCII Universal File Format. An ASCII UFF file containing the test geometry will be created. Along with it there will be created as many measurement files containing ASCII Universal File Format 58 data sets as there are connected Test Setups.
- Binary Universal File Format. An ASCII/Binary UFF file containing the test geometry will be created in terms of ASCII Universal Data sets 15, 82 and 2412. Along with this there will be created as many binary Universal File Format 58 data sets as there are connected Test Setups.
Step 2 - Select Target File System
Due to the difference in usage of escape characters when writing ASCII files in a PC and a UNIX environment, it is necessary to specify to what environment files are exported. This can be done in the File System group.
Step 3 - Select Items to Export
In the Export Items group, you can select what to include in the export. If you check the Geometry box the geometry will be exported. If you check the Data and DOF Information, you will also export the data with the correct DOF information (points where the channels are located and in what directions) and if you select Export Processed Data
Step 4 - Specify Files Names and Export Folders
The last step is to specify the file names and the folders to export to. In case of SVS Configuration File export, the SVS Configuration File has to be specifies along with the measurement files. In case of the Universal File Format export, the UFF file containing the geometry is specified first. Each of the UFF file containing the measurements of the individual Test Setups is then specified. Finally, press the OK button to export.
